Mary Ann Fisher Fisher Morrow

Ms. Morrow was born on June 3, 1944, in Rutherford County, NC, to the late C. Harlon Fisher and Lillie Mae Jones Fisher.

Ms. Morrow lived in Morganton for the past sixty-five years and was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and owned the “ 2 Morrow’s +” Restaurant. She was known as “MumMum” to many and she never turned anyone away that was hungry. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Fisher, Charles Fisher, and Henry Fisher; and a sister, Hazel McNeely.

Surviving Ms. Morrow are her son, Joey (Lisa) Mull of Morganton; a daughter, Faith (Tom) Schmitt, of Morganton; brothers, Paul Fisher, Isaac “Buddy” Fisher, and Steve Fisher, all of Morganton; a sister, Beatrice Webb of Morganton; grandchildren, Wyatt Greene, of Underwood, ND, Joseph Mull, Jr., Arianna Mull, Kelton Mull, and Jaycee Mull, all of Morganton; and great-grandchildren, Rylan Greene and Roslin Greene, both of Underwood, ND.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Silver Creek Baptist Church in Morganton, with the Reverend Dwayne Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
