Nancy Jane Anthony

Born December 10th 1966 she was the daughter of the late Everett E Rector and Bettie (Hylemon).

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents

Nancy is survived by husband, Michael B Anthony of Morganton, Daughter Christina “Christi” Jane Bates her husband Jamie Bates, Son, Matthew Lefevers his wife Marry. Son Charles “Leslie”

Anthony, and Daughter Elizabeth “Danielle” Anthony. Two Brothers Scott Stamey and Michael Rector, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins as well as other extended family.

Cherished Grandchildren: Mason, Memphis, Calleigh Jo, Greyson, Juliana, and Zemira

Nancy had a multitude of hobbies. She enjoyed baking, cooking, (except her burnt pork chops) gardening, sewing, horticulture and spending time with her children grandchildren and other family. Nancy especially enjoyed assisting her niece’s nephews and grandchildren in mischievous adventures.

Nancy was an exceptional lover of animals, music, and history.

Christi & Leslie has the following to say,

“Momma was strong, she was strong minded and never held back. She kept us in line (most of the time) we definitely get our stubbornness and bull headedness from momma, and we will always hold her dearly”- love infinity your “Squirrel & Hoggy”

Matthew and Danielle remember Mom’s strong will and her softer side and her nurturing side as Christi and Leslie say they were spoiled.

Nancy fiercely loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends Sunday February 17th from 3:00 to 4:30 at Kirksey Funeral Home Morganton NC.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to final expenses.

The family will hold a private memorial service. Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton is serving the family.
