Oliver Jarrett

Mr. Oliver B. Jarrett, 81, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Born December 8, 1930, in Burke County, he was a son of the late James Edward Jarrett and Esther Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett attended the First Wesleyan Church, Lenoir.

Mr. Jarrett will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Greene Jarrett, of Lenoir;

Two sons, Michael Jarrett and wife, Terri, and Kirby Jarrett and wife Susan, all of Morganton;

Four step-sons, Steve, Tony, Julian and James Baker, all of Lenoir;

A sister, Esther House, of Thomasville, NC;

Two grandchildren, Christy Fulbright and Kurt Jarrett;

A step-granddaughter, Michelle Clark;

A great granddaughter, Summer Fulbright and numerous nieces and nephews will also lovingly remember him.

Funeral Services for Mr. Jarrett will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the First Wesleyan Church, Lenoir, with the Reverends James Baker, Michael Brown and Roger Bracket officiating.. Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park, Lenoir. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, September 28, 2012, at Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Jarrett’s memory to the First Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 631, Lenoir, NC, 28645.
