Paul William Pritchard Jr.

On Wednesday November 26, 2025 Paul William Pritchard Jr., (Willie, Marris, Grand paw) went home to be with his Lord. Willie was born on December 19, 1965, to Paul William Pritchard Sr., and Lola Jean Pritchard in Burke County, NC. Willie is preceded in death by his mother and father. Willie worked alongside his father Paul operating Pritchard Siding and Windows where perfection was learned and applied to every aspect of his life. Willie was a true cowboy who enjoyed everything about nature. He had a way with all animals like no other from the tiniest butterfly to the roughest bronco, in the pasture. Horses were his love and passion- there wasn’t a trail he didn’t know or a place he hadn’t rode. Willie was the life and the party of the Dirt Dobbers trail riding gang by always showing off his new riding tricks and styles.

Willie is survived by his Son Paul Daniel Pritchard, Daughter Chelsea Rose Brackett and husband Mark. Brother Andy Pritchard (Pinebark), Girlfriend Connie Hedrick, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Willie is also survived by four grandsons who were his pride and joy: Kolby James Brackett, Noah Lee Brackett, Miles Cooper Brackett, and Tucker William Brackett. Grand paw was always the jokester, teacher, and best buddy to his boys.

Willie will always be remembered from riding the high lonesome mountain trails to mowing and bailing the hay meadows and floating down a river in his canoe. He will be remembered most from his contagious laugh, outrageous stories and the joy that he brought to others.

A visitation will be held at Kirksey Funeral Home, located at 406 Lenoir Rd, Morganton, North Carolina, on December 2, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
