Randy Lee Gilbert

Randy Lee Gilbert, 71 of Marion, passed away Wednesday August 5, 2026. Randy had been battling cancer. Randy was born in McDowell County on May 31,1955 to late OC and Agnes Ferguson Gilbert. Randy worked at Explosive Supply as a explosive driller, he enjoyed music, fishing and family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda Gilbert, along with his 3 children, Marie Ivy (John), John Waycaster (Ashley), Sandra Gilbert, grandchildren, Nicholas Ivy(Alaysia) Nichole Ivy (William) , Andrew Waycaste (Magnolia), Annie Waycaster,

Emily Waycaster, Cody, Allen Keith, Austin. 1 great grandchild Genesis Ivy. Randy had 3 brothers, Danny, Dennis both (deceased) Jim still living. 1 sister Gwendolyn (deceased) survived by her husband Haskell Lowery 2 nephews, Thomas and Chris Lowery.
