Rebecca Ann Johnson

She was born to the late Edward Johnson and Ophelia Corpening Johnson on September 1,1956 in Burke, Co.

Rebecca worked as a CNA for over 17 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, dancing, and playing scratch offs.

In addition to her parents, her brothers, Eugene “Dusty” Johnson, and Virgil Johnson preceded Rebecca in death.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children; Delores Johnson, Raven Patterson-Echols (Tavaris), and Gary Patterson (Desiree), grandchildren Rebecca Farrow, Donovan Farrow, Derek Twitty, J’na Twitty, Mckenzi Patterson, Lee Patterson, Dezmond Patterson, Kingstinlee Walls, and Lorenzo Walls, 2 great grandchildren; Ly’Bella Perez, and Remy-Blue Farrow, also surviving are siblings; James Corpening, Minnie Surratt, William Johnson (Shirley) and Christine Johnson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton with Pastor Juan Johnson officiating. The family receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Shiloh AME Church.
