Richard Paul Randall

Born June 8, 1943 in North Adams, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Warren and Susie (Cothran) Randall.

Along with his parents, Richard is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sabrina; a son-in-law, Steve; a brother, Warren Randall; three sisters, Claudia Randall, Kathleen Hosier and Stella Mallory; and his faithful companion, Bandit.

Richard is survived by his wife Norma of the home; two daughters, Dr. Amy Randall and friend Paul of Tigard, Oregon and Carla Thomas of Raleigh; a grandson, Robert Thomas of Raleigh; three brothers, Trueman (Rosalie) Randall, James Randall and Kenneth Randall all of Massachusetts; several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his furry friend, Lady.

A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Burke County Friends for Animals or the First Baptist Church of Morganton.

The family appreciates the loving care and support provided by the staff at Autumn Care of Drexel and Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.
