Robert Jerry Branch

He was born to the late Robert Howard Branch and Barbara Ann Setzer Branch on August 27, 1947, in Burke County.

Jerry was a logger and a sawmill man who never met a stranger. He was the best daddy, grandpa, and friend ever. Jerry loved the Lord and his family. He was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church #1 and attended Sonlight Baptist Church of Morganton.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Ellen Smith Branch, and sister Hazel Smith.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Linda Branch, Carolyn Branch of the home, and Barbara Bradley (Harvey), grandsons, Elijah, Joshua, and Jonah Bradley, brothers; Bobby Howard Branch (Juanita), and Ray Branch, sister; Janette Puttman, special friends Danny and Denice Harris, along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, February 04, 2022, at Sonlight Baptist Church. Burial will follow immediately at Mt. View Baptist Church #1 of Morganton. Pastor Michael Webb officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 03, 2022, at Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton from 6-8 p.m.
