Mr. Cross served in the United States Army in the Army Airborne Troop 544th Division. He is survived by six children; 12 grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held privately for family and church members in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton.
