Ruth Letner Orders

Ruth Letner Orders, 89, of Morganton, passed away, Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Born April 5, 1921 in Whitley County, Jellico, KY, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Letner and Mamie Conard Letner Banks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Orders, brothers, Virgil Letner, Leroy Letner, Jr., and William “Mike” Letner, also a daughter, Martha Lou Orders.

Mrs. Orders is survived by three sons, Tommy Ray Carroll and wife, Joyce, Donald Carroll and wife, Pam all of Glen Alpine, NC, also Carl Orders and wife, Jill of Nebo, NC; Three daughters, Jill Rasnick and husband, Rodney of Atlanta, GA, Mary Keller and husband, Larry of Washington, GA and Carlos Ann Orders of Morganton; Two sisters, Nadine Orders of Glen Alpine, NC and Louise Bounds of Corryton, TN; also surviving are ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Orders will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton. Interment will follow at the Gibbs Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:45PM-1:45PM, prior to the services at the funeral home.
