Sandra was born in Norwood, Massachusetts at Norwood Hospital on February, 15, 1946 to the late Lester Morton and the late Ethel McPhee.
She is survived by her son David Mahoney; her Daughter Michele Mahoney; and her sister Caroline Ward.
Sandra moved from Massachusetts to Chicago and soon to Southern California where she married her first husband, Joseph Mahoney and had her children 3 years apart. Sandra went back to school in her 50's to graduate with a Associate in Arts; Paralegal Studies in 1998, working at a law office in Massachusetts. Then moved to Morganton, North Carolina where she retired from Western Piedmont Community College. Sandra was a volunteer at BUCM and volunteered at Habitat For Humanity "Wednesday Warriors".
Sandra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Morganton, North Carolina.
