Violet C. Passmore

She was born to the late Elmore Coffey and Cora Clark Coffey on August 01, 1929 in Crossnore, North Carolina.

Violet enjoyed cooking, canning, and taking care of children, most of all she enjoyed listening to gospel singing, and preaching. She was a member of Seeds for Harvest Church where her son Rev. Michael Owens served as her pastor.

In addition to her parents, Violet is preceded in death by a son Malcom Dean Owens, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, brothers; Perry Coffey, Floyd Coffey, and Alvin Coffey, and a sister Lucille Carswell.

Those left to cherish her loving memories is her husband of 48 years Jerdy W. Passmore, sons; Pastor Michael Owens (Kathy), and Jerry Owens, daughters; Cathy Hinceman (Rick), and Rhonda Gail Owens, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren, and a sister; Viola Cox along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 02, 2021 at Seeds for Harvest Church, Sawmills, N.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Tate family cemetery in Newland. Pastor Michael Owens officiating.
