Virgil “Mark” Carroll, age 40, of Glen Alpine, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at his residence. Mark was born January 19, 1972 at Grace Hospital in Morganton. He attended Glen Alpine Elementary and Freedom High School.
Mark worked in the furniture industry and was currently employed at Adden Furniture in Hildebran. Mark enjoyed anything outdoors, including gardening and landscaping.
Mark is survived by his parents, Doris Causby of Glen Alpine and Larry Carroll of Marion; two children, Christopher of the home and Chrisha of Drexel; and two brothers, Jonah and Jason Carroll of Marion. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Glen Alpine Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
