Virginia Dale Stewart

Virginia Dale Stewart, 88, of Morganton, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Grace Ridge in Morganton. Born on July 14, 1924 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late J.O. Heldenbrand and Lola Grace Braithwaite Heldenbrand.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stewart; and brothers, Lelon Heldenbrand and Norman Heldenbrand.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Cossey and husband, Robert of Morganton; son, Jack Stewart and wife, Sandra of Wesley Chapel, FL; grandchildren, Deauna Myers of Marion, Rhonda Chambers and husband, Doug of Morganton and Michael Stewart of Florida; great-grandchildren, Shawn Myers, Sara Myers and Steven Myers, all of Marion, Matthew Chambers of San Diego, California and Michael Chambers of Morganton; and a great-great granddaughter, Tanna Myers of Marion.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton with the Reverend John Fowler officiating.

Burial will be held at a later date in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
