Wanda Beaver Carter

Wanda Beaver Carter, age 71, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Wanda was born to Frank M. Beaver and Margaret Sanders Beaver on August 4, 1940 in Rowan County. She was retired from Western Carolina Center where she worked as the Canteen Supervisor. Wanda was a kind and loving person and will be missed by her family and friends.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Max M. Carter, and her father, Frank M. Beaver.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her mother, Margaret Sanders Beaver of Morganton; two daughters, Terri Carter of Morganton and Lori Henry and her husband, Mark of Morganton; two grandchildren, Levi Henry and his, Fiancé, Sloan Lowdermilk of Glen Alpine and Alison Henry Edwards and her husband Wesley of Morganton; a sister, Melba M. Swift and her husband, Russ of Orlando, FL; and a longtime friend, Barbara Stone of Grace Ridge in Morganton. Wanda is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday at Burkemont Baptist Church with the Reverend Eddy Bunton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the church.
