

AARON “INEY’ TRENT, age 82 of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police, Cherokee Lodge #4. He retired from the Morristown Police Department as Captain with 32 years of service. Before joining the MPD he worked for the Hamblen County Sheriff Department who was known by all as the Deputy that drove “The Gray Ghost”. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Ella Byrd Trent. He is survived by his wife of 46 years; Norma Sue Trent, children; Bo (Stephanie) Clonce, Karen Guinn, Alice Dickert of NM, Rita Wolfe and Rayma of Nashville, grandchildren; Aaron (Ashley) Guinn and Angie Guinn, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, sister; Faye (Phillip) Castle, brothers; Sterling (Ella) Trent, Newman (Lucille) Trent and Edward JR (Lena) Trent, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Stubblefield Funeral Home and go in precession to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Honors provided by The Morristown Police Department/Hamblen County Sheriff Department Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be; Capt. David Beckner, Lt. Mike Giles, Lt. Tony Belisle, Ptl. Terry Sexton, Ptl. Aaron Guinn and Jeff Snowden. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to: Emmanuel Baptist Church 2755 Buffalo Trail Morristown, TN 37814.
