Ada Ruth Greene, age 88, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Life Care of Jefferson City. She was a longtime member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay D. Greene; son, Dallas C. Greene; parents, Kenner and Bobbie Wilder; brothers, Elmer, Charlie, H. K. Wilder; and sisters, Imogene Horner, Irene Edwards, Betty Johnson, and Agnes Stone. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Llana) Greene and Deanna Cobb, both of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Clay and Carlton Greene and Andy and Kellie Cobb; brother, Carl Wilder; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Rev. Terry Sanders will officiate. Special thanks are extended to the kind, caring and helpful staff at Life Care of Jefferson City, where she loved dearly, for the care given for the last eight years. Services are under the direction of Stubblefield Funeral Home.
