Annie Lee Mathes, born on February 7, 1946, passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sam Shorter and Sadie Fine, husband; George Mathes, grandson; Geoffery Mathes, sister; Nora "Snooks" Walker and brother; John Henry Shorter. Annie is survived by her children; Dewayne Morgan, George Lynn Mathes and Kimberly Shelton, and sisters; Emma Turner, Fleeta Mathes, and Audrey Reneau. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to Stubblefield Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
