Shannon “Ashley” Howerton, age 28, of Bean Station, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 after a hard fought battle at UT Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Ruth Brown of Bean Station, and Clarence and Fannie Howerton of Bean Station. She is survived by her parents, Bill and Brenda Howerton of Bean Station; sisters, Missy (Tony) Farmer of Bean Station, and Jill (Stevie) Tibbs of Texas; nieces and nephews, Kara and Cole Norman, and Andy and Amber Farmer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16th at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Seal and Rev. Charles Erwin will officiate. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to Adriel Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the services. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
