Barbara devoted many years of steady, diligent work to Magnavox, retiring after serving at the Jefferson City, Morristown, and Sevierville locations. Away from work, Barbara found genuine satisfaction in the simple, meaningful rhythms of home. Mowing the grass was her favorite thing to do, and she also took pride in working in the garden—hands-on pursuits that mirrored the care and effort she brought to all she did. Faith remained an important part of Barbara’s life. She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church in Treadway and, in recent years, attended Russellville Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father; Fred Davis, mother; Anna Ray Davis, step-father; brother; Clifton Davis, and granddaughters; Katrina, Kristina, Chrissy, and Shannon.
Barbara is survived by her children; Steve Bloomer and Mona (Roy) Clark, grandchildren; Jennifer, Steven Jr., Sylvia, and Wesley, several great grandchildren including Renee whom she had a very special bond with, brothers; Mac Davis and James Short, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 15, 2026 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with the funeral to follow at noon, with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. A graveside service will be held at Hamblen Memory Gardens following the funeral service.
