

Betty Jo Green, age 83, of Bulls Gap, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. Betty was always known for her wonderful, spunky personality and her love and concern for her family and others. She always put others first, whether caring for the sick or making sure no one in her presence was hungry. If you met Betty, you were sure to never forget her or her you. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Green; parents, Fred and Joda Lee Warner; brothers, Earl Warner and Gary Warner; sister, Ruth Harrell; and grandson, Jonathan Young. Survivors include her son, Stanley (Mary) Green; granddaughter, Heather Young; great-grandchildren, Ramsey Young and Brody Young; brothers, WH “Dub” Warner, Guy (Aggie) Warner, Jimmy (Genna) Warner, Johnny (Venita) Warner; sisters, Velma Jean Lamb, Loretta Story, Judy (Joe) Harris; several nieces and nephews; special friend, David “Mike” Cook; and loving friends and neighbors at Sycamore Trace Apartments.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Lamb and Pastor Don Proffitt officiating. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. in McCullough Cemetery in Bulls Gap for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home.
