Billy Eugene Broyles, age 86, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and employed at BASF for 43 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Broyles; sister, Dorothy (Kenny) Mandel; and brother, Kay Broyles. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dorothy: son, Danny Broyles; daughter, Connie (Rick) Weston; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends and neighbors; and one special girl, his dog and companion, Sophie. A special thank you to Avalon Hospice for their wonderful care, especially his nurse, Kathy Gilliam. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Sweet and Rev. Dan Starks officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Christian Church in Morristown. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
