Carol A. Bleecker, 79, was born December 17, 1946, and passed away July 19, 2026. With a steady devotion to family and a life shaped by quiet strength, Carol will be remembered for the care she gave so faithfully to those she loved.
Carol found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cherishing the moments that made family life feel full and close. She also enjoyed bingo and crochet, and she liked visiting the occasional casino. In countless everyday ways, she showed her love through the comfort of home—especially in the Italian dishes she prepared, nourishing both body and spirit and gathering people together with warmth and familiarity.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Sommella; her mother, Mildred Piteo; and her daughter, Patti Green.
She is survived by her loving husband, George H. Bleecker III; her children, Bobby Green, George Bleecker, Cathy Brannen, Joe Bleecker, Laurie Seyler, Christine Fillgrove, Donna Hosey, Teresa Heald, and Dawn Bleecker-Beckner; her brother, Dominick Sommella; 22 Grandchildren and; 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Stubblefield Funeral Home, 5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, Tennessee 37814, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Hamblen Memory Gardens, 5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, Tennessee 37814, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
