CARROLL L. “POP” OLIVER, age 78 of Bean Station went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was previously employed at Berkline for 10 years and retired from American Enka/BASF after 27 years. He was a lifelong member and Deacon of Noeton Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred S. Oliver and parents, Elder John and Ruth Oliver. He is survived by his son, Tim Oliver and wife Allison; granddaughter, Gracelyn Oliver; brothers, Paul Oliver and wife Doris and Eddie Oliver and wife Wanda; aunts, Aileen Childers and Ollie Oliver; several nieces, nephew, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with Elder Lawrence Adams and the Rev. T.P. Phillips officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. Military Graveside service with VFW Post # 5266 providing Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee.
