Clara Vandola Edwards Shropshire, age 92, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord at 6:30 a.m. February 22, 2022. She was born on January 30, 1930 in Speedwell, Tennessee. She was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Bulls Gap. She loved flowers and working in her flower gardens, as well as making beautiful quilts. She was saved at an early age and lived her life serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. They were married 64 years. She was also preceded by her parents, Alonzo and Pearl Edwards; sisters, Margie Irene and Anna Lou Edwards of Speedwell, Sybol Jean Coffey of Eugene Oregon, and Wanda Vera Shropshire of Morristown; and brothers, Bobby Allen of Castalia, Ohio, James Wade of Speedwell, and Kelburn Edwards of Jacksboro, Tennessee.
She is survived by her children, Glenda, Dale, Stanley, Danny Shropshire; and special grandson, Brian Biddle. She has nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev Shane Pierce and Rev Jerry Bradley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service.
