Cornia Irene Owens, age 89, Mooresburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Hawkins Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wheeler Owens; son, Leroy Owens; and daughter-in-law, Betty Owens.
Survivors include her children, Helen (Junior) Tuttle, Raymond Owens, Kathy (Wade) Eads, Marie (Allen) Stroud, Shirley (Tony) Hilton, Larry (Peggy) Owens, and Bobby (fiancé, Peggy Helton) Owens; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Albert (Vinnie) Osborne; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Fox and Rev. Allen Stroud officiating. Mrs. Owens will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the services. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
