To family,
Being the oldest of his siblings made him proud- but all four of the older brothers were great to be around. Fun times were always a part of our get together's. Memories made and will forever be shared and cherished as long as there is a McCoy or relative who knew and loved this family. Being a sister-in-law was more like a sister and he made me feel that way. Remembering birthdays and making a phone call to say Happy Birthday to me was so special. Even after the loss of his brother, my husband, he never lost touch and continued to be an important part of our family. My girls as well as I, will keep the memory of his laughter, his jokes, his serious times too, in our hearts forever, Miss him already, Nola

Many precious memories of my Uncle Eddie. I remember always crying when hugging him by at the end of his visits (when he was leaving to go back to Illinois). Also, after dad passed away, he made a special trip and arrangements for me and my family to go to the beach. My family had planned our first ever trip to the beach, which got canceled due to the mining explosion that took my dad’s life. So, although that memory/trip is/was bittersweet, it demonstrates what kind of a man, uncle, brother-in-law he was for us.
Uncle Eddie always made us laugh And he had a huge heart: He was very proud to be a McCoy and He loved his family with all his heart.
Rest In Peace Uncle Eddie. I’m blessed that you were my uncle and I am glad you are no longer in pain. ♥️
