I have tried & Tried to Find the Perfect words to say about my brother-in-law Ron , He was A Humble Man & Never said Anything about anyone. A Good & Godly Man . My Sister Jennie Loved Him Dearly and he Her . We Would go golfing and no matter how we played , good or bad he would say still Better than cleaning house we both would laugh . I would listen to him tell the same stories over and over but I would act Like it was the first time I had heard them it was fine I was with my brother and nothing else mattered. We will  always Love Ron,  As far as Religion He Ranked Right with  my Dad. Both will be in Heaven with Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior May Angels Guide You To Heaven Rest In Peace Our Brother. I remember one Sunday at church you reaching over to gently take my hand as we both cried listening to a beautiful song. It was such a simple gesture, but it moved me deeply.

I am so thankful that you and my mom found each other. To see you both so happy and no longer lonely brought joy to my heart. I know you repeatedly told me that if not for my mom, you wouldn’t be here. Similarly, a couple of years ago, God woke you up out of the blue to find that my mom needed urgent help. He gave you the strength to pick her up, drive her to the hospital and subsequently save her life. You were my hero that day and you still are.

You fought long and hard and
never once complained - showing courage, strength, determination, and most of all, faith.

It is comforting to know that you are no longer in any pain, surrounded by family and friends in the Lord’s house. I’m sure you’re either “layin low” or enjoying a round of golf on the most incredible golf course with Uncle Daris as we speak!

Thank you for all the love you have shown my family, and know that we love you and will keep you forever in our hearts.

I have Tried & Tried to find the Right words to say about our Brother-in-Law Ron , who we called Brother . Dad is so proud  because Ron cherished his Faith in God Just like Dad did. Both will be Forever with God Our Father. I played golf with Ron a lot , no matter how we played he would say still better then cleaning house & he would laugh . I tried to play golf with him as much as possible , he had 7 mini strokes & tried to keep his mine as active as possible . I would listen to his stories &  would react like I had heard them for the first time , it was fine . He would talk about our brother Daris he thought the world of him. He Loved his Family & We Loved Him God has another Angel. Ron was a man of few words & did not speak ill of anyone . You Will forever be in our thoughts & Prayers Go get that Eagle Ron You Deserve It Love You Brother Rest in Peace 

Thank you for treating me like a son. I will never forget that.  You were truly pleasant to be around. You no longer need to worry about mom. I will take care of her until you two see each other again in Heaven. I love you Dad.  Rest In Peace.

We always called you Ron or Bro. Hunt. No words for how we felt when we heard  the sad news you had departed this life here on earth. So much to say but no words seems to come, oh but the memories we have as our families were always very close . Fond memories of all our visits in your & Shelby’s home , get together’s  dinners . Going out to eat at the Beef Carver always your & Shelby favorite place to eat. We did enjoyed those times of fellowship with you all. Special Christmas get togethers were always memorable. All the church services we attended together , the work we did together in our church Sunday  School , you the SS   Superintendent,     me being assistant  to you & Shelby being the SS Secretary  . Those were the days of rejoicing watching our church grow. You will always have a special place & special memories in our  hearts & We are thankful for having you & Shelby in our family & life.  Fly high my friend. Give Shelby & John a hug for me.Until we  meet again rest easy .💔

Grandpa Ron was such a wonderful addition to our family. He quickly claimed a place in our hearts with his soft-spoken nature, witty charm, and thoughtful words that never failed to communicate how much he cared. That, and the way he loved my grandma. I adored watching him and my grams interact - both in the company of others and when they thought no one was watching. The way they cared for one another, sharing such a special love and deep respect, made my heart happy. 

Recently, after making a long journey back to Michigan to visit with us, Ron arrived in great spirits and we were blessed to introduce him to his great-grandson. It was heartwarming to watch him hold our son with such tender care and regard. His visit also consisted of him goofily singing that he was a Country Boy, making me laugh at the dinner table with his silly and always on-point comedic timing, and making caring inquiries as to how I was feeling. But the thing I’ll remember most was him showing me his wallet. Inside was a photo of his pride and joy - his granddaughter Kara... and next to her was a photo of me. I didn’t know what to say. I was so touched by that gesture it left me speechless in that moment. I know how proud he was and how much he adored his Kara, and for him to carry my picture around with hers, well, that was something special. I’m so grateful for the time we had with Ron, and I’m so blessed to have called him Grandpa. He will be deeply missed.

Dad ~ I take great solace knowing that you have been reunited with your loving wife of 50 years (Shelby Jean Hunt) and your son who lived to the age of 30 (John B. Hunt).  What rejoicing it must have been to see, hug, talk with them and know everything now.  Also, to see your beautiful parents, brother and extended family.  Most of all for you to be whole again in body, mind and spirit.

As we talked the last weeks of your life you were so tired, weak and you wanted to go "home".  Little did we know at the time it was to your heavenly home we spoke of.   I thank God you will no longer suffer with health issues that wore you down. 

I have so many memories too many to count but two come to my mind the most in this moment:
1.  When I was probably 3 and mom brought home a bunny cake  a student made for her.   I loved the bunny cake so much I didn't want you or mom to eat it.  You waited until it was almost stale and then finally cut and ate it.  I'm more than sure I cried.
2.  When I was 16 and you tried to teach me to drive a stick shift in the middle school parking lot during the summer.  Thankfully no cars were around and you got so mad at me because I kept jerking the car.  You said "I thought you could drive anything but I guess I was wrong".   Making me and my friend walk home as you drove off.  Funny now but not so much then.  Patience wasn't your virtue when we were kids. 

You will be missed by many but most of all by your two kids/grandchildren/great grandson and our spouses:  (Chuck, Mike A., Kara, Mike R., Allie, Tyler, Trina, Emmers, Paxton and me). 

You are forever be imbedded in our hearts and minds with love.

From as long as I can remember Ronnie has been in my life. My father and him worked together at Commonwealth and also played softball on as I call the Best Team around.  He played 2nd base and not a ball could get past him and his throw looked like it set fire to the other persons glove.  He always had that  extra pep in his step. I always tell Chuck that I know where he gets that from.  My first car actually came from Ronnie a 1970's Lincoln Continental Mark V111. Boy was that a boat.  My dad was so excited, he told me Ron gave him a great deal because he knew it was for me.  That's the kind of person he was.  May you rest in  peace .  Hugs and love to the family. 

Dad, I really don’t know where to start but first I’m glad you were my Dad. Growing up I have so many fond memories of life in Woodhaven, the laughs we had at dinner time, how John and I could get you going in no time. You and Mom raised me to be hard working and self sufficient  and I’m glad I have your work ethic.
I have great comfort in knowing you are in the presence of the Lord and reunited with Mom ,John and loved ones. 
I will think of you every day, until we meet again.

In the mid-50's, my father, cousin Ronnie's Uncle Warren, drove to Kentucky and brought Edgil Ronnie's mean fast ball backed up with a curve ball to our home in Detroit. He tried out for the Philadelphia Phillie's farm team and made it. 

My mother, Sadie McCoy O'Brien, packed cousin Ronnie man-sized lunches with a thermos of sweet tea for the ball field. During the tense time of the polio epidemic, Mom made sure my sisters and me kept quiet so cousin Ronnie could get plenty sleep. 

One of my most glorious childhood memories was the bright, sunny summer day cousin Ronnie took my hand for a walk. I heard change jingling in his pocket. We turned the corner and he led me into Brown's Creamery where I ordered a chocolate malt. 

Sixty-some years later when cousin Ronnie, Jennie, and I walked their Florida neighborhood, cousin Ronnie said, "Aunt Sadie would give me her loose change and say, 'Take Iris and treat yourselves to an ice cream.'  She did that for Linda and Libby, too." 

When cousin Ronnie blew out his shoulder and left for Kentucky, Mom pined for her Edgil. I did too. Cousin Ronnie was more to us than his fast ball backed up with a curve ball.

I first met Ron at on my first day of work at Commonwealth Industries in June 1978 where my  Dad (Bill) and my brother(Bruce)                were employed.  They were both going on a fishing trip and so my brother was giving me some advice of what to expect. He told me Ron was a great Boss who was fair and easy to get along with. My Dad who worked with Ron many years told me listen son ,Ron Hunt is a straight arrow  and a hard worker ,not too many men can out work him and if you give him a good days work you won't have any problems . I found out in a short period time that this was true.  In 1981 I was out of work and Ron recommended me and few other guys for work at a new heat treating facility . Thanks to his help I along with my good friend Mark Riszak  who Ron also helped, we made a good living and both retired after 32 years of service! I know his son Chuck well and as the  saying goes the apple doesn't fall far from the the tree. Wishing Chuck and all of Ron's family  the best . You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Bill Henderson

It saddened me when I received the news that you had departed this earth, but I couldn't  help rejoicing knowing that you've seen your Lord and Savior face to face! Some of my best memories includes the Woody Hayes toilet paper you gave me and when you told me that you could teach my dog (Goldie)  to tie a tie faster than me...lol! You'll always be warmly thought of as a wonderful uncle and an incredible man. You've fought the good fight and you've kept the faith! Welcome home Uncle Ron

Ronnie...you definitely are missed already.  We will always cherish our many wonderful times and conversations together. You were the BEST! An awesome brother, loving and kind. You always looked for the good in people and never complained.  You are a TRUE 💎 GEM.
