Emma R. Shrader, age 89, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2013 at 10:45 p.m. at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church. She loved sewing, crocheting, needlework, and helping with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Shrader, who passed away on October 3, 2007; parents; three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Harold) Dickerson of Whitesburg; son, Larry D. (Sheila) Shrader of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Stephanie Christian, Phillip Dickerson, Jesse Shrader; great-grandchildren, Dalton Dickerson, Trent and Carter Dickerson, and Camron Shrader; and sister, Juanita Taylor of Jonesborough.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens at 10:50 a.m. Thursday morning for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the services.
