George Edgar Cook, Jr., age 82 of Mohawk, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at his son’s home. He was a member of Guthries Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Cook; daughter, Carolyn Cook; parents, George and Mae Cook; brother, Willard Cook; and sister, Helen Cook. He is survived by his son, George (Linda) Cook III; daughters, Debbie (Herman Collins) Susong and Pauline (Mark) Roberts; grandchildren, Brian (Becky) Susong, Melissa Sauceman, Melinda Painter, Jamie (Gina) Russell and Douglas Reedy; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dylan Susong, Jasmine Putman and Jaden Sauceman, Steven, Phillip, Amber and Zak Russell, Gilbert and Johnathan Putman and Aron Idom; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. George McCoy officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday in Kite Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. Services are under the direction of Stubblefield Funeral Home.
