
GEORGE EDWARD GULLEY, age 72 of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Sunday morning at his home with his family by his side. He retired after 25 years of service with the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6 in the United States Army and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Gulley; his mother, Gertrude Bernard Gulley; three brothers, Howard, Tom and Lynn Gulley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Imogene Gulley; two sons, Gary Solomon and Michael (Beth) Solomon both of Bulls Gap; his grandchildren, Jennifer Solomon of South Carolina and Brian Hoffman of White Pine; four sisters, Mabel McDermott of Morristown, Betty Rhea of Bulls Gap, Mary Long of Morristown and twin sister, Georgia (Havard) Street of White Pine; four brothers, Robert F. (Kathleen) Gulley of Morristown, William “Dub” Gulley of Greeneville, Ira Lee Gulley of Morristown and John (Linda) Gulley of Talbott; several nieces and nephews; a special friend Lloyd and Mary Love Stanifer of Rogersville; special caregivers, Louise Rhea and Cindy Ward.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Elder John Arnott officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7 in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. Arrangement by Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown.
