Gerald E. “Jack” Mercer, 73, of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Charles George VA Medical Center in North Carolina. He was born February 23, 1940 to the late Frank and Emma Staub Mercer. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Reta Mercer; three brothers; two sisters; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Holy Ground Baptist Church in Bulls Gap, TN. Rev. Jim Smith will officiate. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home, Morristown.
