

Harold was born in Hawkins County on December 10, 1942 to Luther and Zora Hicks. He was saved at an early age at Cobb’s Chapel and attended Cedar Springs Baptist Church regularly until his health began to decline. He was the owner of Hicks Construction and built homes for over 50 years in the Lakeway area. He enjoyed going to flea markets, listening to bluegrass and country music, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a devoted husband, loving and caring father, and a kind grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Zora Hicks; sisters, Christine and Lena Belle; brothers, Bert and Jay; and his fraternal twin brother, Gerald Wayne.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Hicks; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jody McCravey of Bean Station, and Tina and Dennis Berry of Morristown; grandchildren, Chucky and Brody McCravey, and Jayden and Riley Berry, whom he loved with all his heart; his sister, Jean Manis of Morristown; and his brother, Ben Hicks of Sneedville.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, November 20, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Family and friends will gather at the graveside at 10:45 a.m.
