He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann C. Nichols, parents, Joseph (Dossie) Nichols; siblings, Marvin Nichols, James Nichols and Rowena (Hank) Witt; and son, Russell L. Nichols.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy N. Eanes and Lisa N. Sawyer; son, Joey (Stephanie) Nichols; 7 grandchildren, Buck, Matthew, Mallory, Dossie, Jackson, Hannah, and Zachary; 3 great grandchildren, Bailey, Kayleigh, and Russell; 2 nephews, Jimmy Witt and Tony (Gayle) Witt, a great-nephew and a great-niece, and 2 great-great nephews and a great-great-niece.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to All Saints’ Episcopal Church or School in Morristown. Another option is to just do something nice for someone else because that’s what he would do.
A Celebration of Harold's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at All Saints' Episcopal Church.
