Hattie Faye Horner Anderson age 77 of Morristown departed this life on Friday, December 14, 2012 at her home, after a hard fought battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).She was born on February 4, 1935 to Grover & Jessie Horner of Sneedville. On September 8, 1953 she married the love of her life, Charles Emory Anderson.She was saved at 8 yrs of age at Stoney Gap Baptist Church in Sneedville. After moving to Morristown, she joined Westview Baptist Church, where she taught the Ladies Sunday School Class for over 40 Years.Faye worked as a dealer for Stanley Home Products for 43 years. She and Emory were members of The Smokey Mountain Antique Engine & Tractor Club. They enjoyed displaying their tractors at many area shows. She was a faithful Christian, a devoted wife and mother and an inspiration to all who knew her.She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 58 years, Charles Emory Anderson; parents, Grover & Jessie Horner; sisters, Sally Greene Wolfe of Sneedville and Ina Seal Combs of Morristown; brothers, Jess, Woodrow, Emory & Thomas “Ness” Horner of Illinois, Gus Horner of Sneedville and Joe B. Horner of Morristown.She is survived by Daughter and son-in-law Linda & John Turner, Son and daughter-in-law, Donnie & Regina Anderson; grandchildren, Caleb Turner & fiancée Kandace McDaniel, Jake & Allison Anderson all of Morristown; Brothers, John Mark (Joann) Horner of Morristown and James (Lydia) Horner of Crossville; Several nieces & nephews, a host of friends and special friends and neighbors, Betty Fleenor & Sue Carter. A special thanks to caregivers, Wanda Matthews and Ester Seal.The family will receive friends Sunday, December 16, 2012 5:00-8:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 17, 2012 2:00 pm at Westview Baptist Church, Lennie Ave. Morristown with burial to follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Lee Seal, Rev. Curtis Seal and Rev. Harold Noe officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Pall Bearers will be John Turner, Caleb Turner, Jake Anderson, Edwin Greene, Mike Antrican and Don McKinney. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
