

Irene Elizabeth Crews Dalton, age 96, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 12, 2013. She was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey L. Dalton; son, Harvey Lynn Dalton; mother, Laura Odom Wilder; father, Frank Crews; brother, Carter Crews; and sister, Barbara Charelton. Survivors include her daughter, Irene Jane Yount of Rogersville; son Lynn (Trish) Dalton of Bean Station; grandchildren, April Yount and Robbie Watkins of Rogersville, Katrina (Donny) Mayes of Rogersville, Megan Godfriaux and Jim Watkins of Rogersville; great-grandchildren, Ian, Mason, Jade Dalton of Knoxville; Mackenzie and Alexander Carter of Rogersville, Matthew Watkins of Rogersville, and Mackenzie Dotson of Bean Station; special nephews, Calvin (Bobbie) Dalton of Bulls Gap, Bobby (Helen) Crews of Mosheim; special Godson, Thomas Christopher Collins, who she had taught about the Lord; and special friends and caregivers, Shatera Marshall of Mosheim, Donna Fracarossi of Bulls Gap. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Brewer and Rev. Richard Long will officiate. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday to go in procession to Bethesda Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the services. The family would like to say a special thanks to Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their help.
