James Curtis “JC” Brewer, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014. He was born September 1, 1938 and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dollie Brewer; grandparents, Dock and Bobbie Livesay, Fleenor and Mary Brewer; special mother and father-in-law, James and Dollie Davidson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jeanette Davidson Brewer, who took special care of him through years of sickness; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lisa Brewer of Morristown; special grandson who was his pride and joy, Dylan Brewer of Johnson City; special family pet, Zeus; brothers, Ambrose (Peggy) Brewer, Ben (Nellie) Brewer, Earl (Patty) Brewer, and Dean (Susan) Brewer; sisters, Linda (Rookie) Inman, Letha Seal, and Teresa Laws; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Denver Davidson and Rev. Earl Bowlin. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Monday at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the services.
