James Anthony Bryant- Tony, as he was known to Everyone, was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on June 11, 1950.
He was saved at the age of 9 at the Vernor St. Church of God in Detroit, Michigan. He began singing in church as a very small child, even recording an album at 9 years old.
Being raised in church his entire life, it's no surprise that he would go into the ministry. He evangelized for many years and later went on to pastor 4 churches- Lansing, Michigan, Medway, Maine, Bean Station, Tennessee and Lincoln Park, Michigan.
He loved to play the piano and sing, raising his 3 children to love music and singing as much as he did. Later in life he became pretty popular as the "local piano player" at various churches and funeral homes. Everyone loved Tony. Especially the ladies at A New Image Hair Designs in Morristown, where he spent a lot of time and was affectionately dubbed "The Mascot!" He had also become a "frequent flyer" member at Heritage Nursing Home where he spent many days undergoing physical therapy and rehab on his broken down body parts.
Without even trying he could make you bust out laughing with his very dry sense of humor. He always had a story and you could pretty much count on laughing when he told them.
After losing his beloved wife in 2022, he found a brand new love when he adopted his sweet little dog. He named her Angel Baby, which was the name he called his wife, Debi. He and Angel Baby became the best of buddies and were inseparable. The only person she loved as much as Tony was his best friend Chris- or Daddy Chris as he was called. She has found her new home with Daddy Chris and Tony wouldn't have wanted it any other way!
Although we miss him dearly, he is rejoicing in Heaven with his beloved Debi, his parents and so many more. AND PLAYING THE PIANO!
