Mike was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on February 19, 1955 to parents, James Campbell Jackson (deceased) and Laura Ruth Jackson (French). He is preceded in death by his father, Campbell, and sisters, Reba Price and JoAnne Cureton. He is survived by his mother and best friend, Ruth; as well as his siblings, Margaret Howard, Gail Wise, Renee Norman (husband Ralph), Larry French (wife Janet) and Lonnie French (wife Cindy); and brother-in-law, John Cureton. Mike is also survived by many nieces and nephews that love him dearly.
A man of many talents, Mike could master almost an artistic pursuit. He was a great writer, painter, and thinker. He loved his cat, Ebony, and spent many fun-filled hours playing his favorite video games. Family could always expect "Mike the Jokester" to pull pranks or tell jokes. He loved giving pet names to his sisters and making things fun and light. He never failed to leave a smile on everyone's faces.
Family and friends are invited to honor Mike's life on Monday, September 20, 2021 with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. The burial and committal service will immediately follow at the Hamblen Memory Gardens where Mike will be laid to rest alongside his brother-in-law, Travis Wise.
