James Thomas Neubaum

James T. Neubuam, 79, of Russellville, TN, passed away May 13, 2024. He was born August 15, 1944 to the late Albert and Doris Neubaum. Jim now joins his beloved wife Ellen after missing her dearly for 10 years.

Jim proudly enlisted into the US Navy in November of 1961 and separated in July of 1965, serving as an Airman. In 1978 he re-enlisted into the Navy Reserves working as a heavy equipment operator until 1995 and continued in the field of construction.

Jim married his wife Ellen Pedersen Neubaum in 1966. Together they had 3 children and spent 48 wonderful years together. They lived in Beacon Falls, Connecticut before moving to Florida. After the loss of his wife in 2014 he moved to Tennessee to live out their plan of moving and settling there together.

Jim was an avid collector of baseball memorabilia and of US treasured coins; he had an impressive collection of both. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees; Go Yankees! He didn’t always say too much but when he did it was meaningful. His loving personality and humor will be missed by all who loved him.

Those left behind to cherish Jim’s memory are his children: Jimmy Neuabum and his wife Lyesa, Brian Neubaum and his wife Jodi, Rebecca Neubaum, his grandchildren: Kati Timpanelli and her husband Matt, Katie Sparks and her fiancé Dean MacIntyre, Jami Sandor and her husband Jon, Loran Neubaum, Olivia Neubaum, Alexander Provencher, and Zachary Neubaum, his great-grandchildren: Lila Sandor, Luca Timpanelli, his sisters: Carol Smith and her husband Rod, Doreen Neubaum, Debby Neubaum Brady and her fiancé Larry Hutton, and sister-in-law Donna Neubaum, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Albert Neubaum, his brother-in-law Jack Pedersen, and his sister-in-laws: Gaye Farrow and Faye DeFeo.

The family wishes to thank Jim’s very kind neighbor Sarah Rose who has always and continues to be of tremendous help along with the Stubblefield Funeral Home for taking care of Jim and his family during their time of grief.
