JAMES W. STINSON, age 86 of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Little Creek Sanitarium in Knoxville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bulls Gap. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. James and his wife Jean were former owners of Stinson Drugs in Bulls Gap. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jean Rader Stinson; parents, Robert and Gladys Osborne Stinson, Sr and brother, Robert E. Stinson, Jr. James was survived by his children, Michael (Kathy) Stinson, Rose Stinson, Mark (Suzette) Stinson and Carol Stinson (Kevin) Miller, grandchildren; Kristy Brooks, Julie Stinson, Amanda (Thomas) Collins and Chase Stinson; great-grandchildren, Cameron Brooks and Julynn Stinson; several nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Collins and Rev. Scott Farmer officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17 in Bent Creek Cemetery for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
