Jerrie Hurst

Jerrie was a longtime member of Rocky Summit Missionary Baptist Church in which she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents: William Patrick and Missouri Jane Ramsey; brothers: Clyde Ramsey, Claude Ramsey, Walter Ramsey and Belve Ramsey; sister: Lucille Ramsey; brothers-in-law: Jim Ellis, James Parkey and John Trad; sister-in-law: Joyce Ramsey.

Jerrie is survived by her 3 loving children: Michelle Owens, of Iowa; Janie (Dearl) Stalsworth of Rutledge, and William Hurst of Bean Station. 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, all which were close to her heart. Sisters: Nora (Bill) Bledsoe, Birdie Parkey, Fannie (Arthur) Esidore, Judy (Keith) Bragdon and Anita Ford; sister-in-law: Madge Ramsey. Along with several nieces and nephews. All of which she loved and cherished. Special friends Ardis Roberts, Joyce Keaton, Maryanne Esidore and Suzie Stroud.

A very special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, Jim Saylor and caregiver Linda for making her comfortable until time for her to meet the Lord.

Visitation with her family will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Rocky Summit Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Rutherford, Rev. David Alder and Rev. Roger Porter officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Summit Church Cemetery.
