

JIMMY STRANGE, age 57 of Jefferson City, a member of the Blue Grass Gospel Hour on WMTN 1300 and WJFC 1480 went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2012 at his residence. He attended Gregg’s Chapel Church in the Piedmont area. He was employed by HT Hackney for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Parlee Strange and Walter and Dee Dee Ellen Chambers and niece, Carol Ann Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Savannah Murray Strange; sons, Tony and Richard; Grandchildren, Haley, Karyssa, Josie Mae and Noel; parents, Mildred and Jim Strange; sisters, Patsy (Curtis) Smith, Brenda (Bud) Taylor, Debbie Strange, Rose Mary (Dennis) Johnson and Kathy (Michael) Rogers; brother, David Strange; several nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews and all of his radio family. A special thanks to UT Hospice and UT Hospital and especially Ben Lewis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Meadows, Rev. Charlie Norton, Rev. Eddie Murray, Rev. Ronnie Trent and the Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Entombment service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens & Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flower, donations can be sent to his wife Savannah.
