

John was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 20 years, where on occasion would lead the choir, which he loved to do. Besides his enjoyment of singing, he also loved to play golf and go fishing.
Out of 11 children, born to Clyde and Etta Bailiff, John was the last to pass away. Also preceding him in death were his son: John Derek Bailiff and son-in-law: Ed Hall.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Potter Bailiff; daughter: Marsha Hall and son: Kevin (Missy) Bailiff. Daughter in Law Karen Bailiff. Grandchildren: Melissa Hall, Jon (Linda) Hall, Eric (Jennifer) Hall, Kelly Hall, Kierstin (Reid) Burton, Brian (Candance) Bailiff, Kourtney (Bryce) Shelton, Ashley Bradley and Justin Bailiff. 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home with funeral services at 1:00 PM. rev. Mark Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are asked to be directed to the Towers to Tunnel Foundation or the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
