

Rev. John E. McCoy, age 66 of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. He was a member of Chinquepin Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmas and Mae McCoy. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joan McCoy; children, Dr. Neil McCoy and wife Melissa, Rhonda Nivinski and husband Dan, Jessica McCoy; 1 granddaughter, Rachel McCoy; brothers, Carl (Sonny) McCoy and wife Barbara, Reginald (Ted) McCoy and wife Maureen, William (Ned) McCoy and wife Carolyn, Mike McCoy, Larry McCoy and wife Carolyn, Jeff McCoy and wife Polly and Mark McCoy and wife Teresa; sisters, Brenda Shepard and husband Raymond, Judy Seals and husband Eddie, Dorothy Bales and Shelia Bales and husband Richard; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Davis officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.There will be a Military Interment service on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 am, in the Hamblen Memory Gardens, with American Legion Post #183 conducting.
