She was preceded in death by her parents: Maynard and Thelma Horton; brother: Maynard Horton, Jr. and sister: Barbara Calpin.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 70 years: E.C. Stephenson; son: Brian Stephenson; daughter: Karen Cannon; grandson: Benjamin Stephenson; great granddaughter: Cambria Stephenson and her sisters: Helen Duarte and Shirley Rose.
Per her requests, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at Centenary United Methodist Church.
