Julius "Jake" Tackett

He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan—following the team with the kind of faithful enthusiasm that became a familiar and fond part of who he was.

Jake was preceded in death by his loving wife, Adell Tackett; daughters, Velvet Tackett and Subrina Belcher; brothers, Elby Tackett, Rufus Tackett, Beauford Tackett, Harlos Tackett, Randel Tackett, and Challis Tackett; and sisters, Augusta Branham, Brooksie Bolyn, and Loreitta Tackett.

He is survived by brothers, Phillip Tackett and Carlos Tackett; sister, Lois Newsome; granddaughters, Ashley LaChance and Natasha Tackett; grandson, Patrick Tackett; great granddaughters, Ryanne Roberts, Pae’ton Tackett, Pailyn Tackett, Layla Clark, and Aniyah Tackett; great grandsons, Brandon LaChance, Patrick Madden Tackett, and Legend Clark; and many more family members and cherished friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11:00 am at Hamblen Memory Gardens & Mausoleum, 5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814.
