Ms. Kathy Ann Trent, age 50 of Midway passed away Monday, December 8th after a lingering illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ralph and Juanita Trent; grandparents; Earnest and Lillie Poe and Chester and Myrtle Trent and four aunts and two uncles. She is survived by her brother Bill Trent, niece Stacy (Jeff) Roberts, nephews Dakota and Billy Jr. and their mother Lisa Trent, along with Harley, Caiden and Levi Barret. Kathy had several cousins that she kept in contact with including Kim and David Buckner, Betty Phillips, Kenny Bryant, Elizabeth Johnson, Betty and Hal Harmon, and a host of other family and friends.
Kathy was a babysitter and caregiver by trade as long as her health lasted. She loved to crochet and enjoyed giving homemade blankets to all the newborns in the family. The other blankets, hats and mittens she crocheted she donated to the Hope Pregnancy Crisis Center in Greeneville.
We would like to extend thanks to the caregivers who helped Kathy over the years and spent many hours giving her company. Friends and family are invited for visitation Friday, December 12th between 6 and 8 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home, with a celebration of life to follow.
