He had a passion for hunting and fishing, retired from Enka after several years of service and was a proud Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War.
Larry was preceded in death by his father: Billy Joe Hipshire, mother: Annie Watts Talley, step-father, who raised him, Garland "Mutt" Talley, and his sons: Larry Joe Hipshire II and Jesse Joe Hipshire.
He is survived by his daughter: Tina Gail Hipshire. Grandchildren: Zachary Joe Hipshire, Masey LeeAnn (Elliott) Rednour, Abby Gail Hipshire and Charlie Arrington. Brother: Billy Joe Hipshire; sisters: Katie Hipshire and Lisa Carey and cousin: Festus Talley.
Larry's request was to be cremated and no official services to be held.
