born in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, to Willie and Lucille Simmons. Ledith loved the Lord, her family, friends,
and was the life of any gathering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lucille Amberilla Simmons; her daughter, Sharon Story Bryant; her brother, Howard Simmons; and her sister, Kathleen Eason.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Ruby Jean Peters, sister Almeeta Simmons, a host
of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1800 Cherokee Drive, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jesse Jones, Jr. and Pastor Demetrius A. Walthall officiating. Burial at Houston Chapel Church Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
